Photographs and Adventures

Rain, rain, go away…

The following morning at McLaren Vale the rain set in, so we headed off through Adelaide and down the Yorke Peninsula to visit pappy’s old hometown of Edithburgh, where some of the family still live. We stopped for a picnic lunch at Ardrossan, with it’s amazing red cliffs, and arrived in Edithburgh later in the afternoon, spending the next couple of days catching up with family and exploring the town of Edithburgh with its lovely old stone cottages before travelling across the bottom of the peninsula to Turton Point which has clear turquoise water and white sand beaches, contrasting with rocky headlands and supposedly very good fishing. We will see… We plan to spend a couple of days here, and will celebrate Peter’s birthday with a meal at the tavern on the point.
